Each month can have a different color-coded quality control label. Or, use color coded calibration labels to indicate the ownership of the tool or instrument. Other companies use color-coding to determine the department or building for a given instrument.
Traditionally, green has been the most common color for calibration labels. Other colors also have certain meanings ? confirming with certain industry practices for a particular legends. Yet, many companies are breaking from this tradition for the their calibration labels as they use color to add another dimension to their calibration or quality system. Moreover, bright colors stand out well against darker equipment and make your quality label stand out better.
Similarly, fluorescent colors are used to convey instant meaning. Red, of course, means STOP (or rejected). Green is used for GO (or accepted).
